Mwotia Makumi is a development and programs professional with experience in youth development, peacebuilding, health, environmental action, and institutional capacity strengthening in urban informal settlements in Kenya. In his program coordination and development role, he leads project design, grant acquisition, implementation oversight, and stakeholder engagement, translating community needs into results-oriented interventions aligned with donor priorities and accountability standards.

He has expertise in consortium programming, multi-stakeholder coordination, research, and policy-informed programming, working closely with civil society organizations and community-based groups. Mwotia holds a Master of Arts in Security, Intelligence and Diplomacy, with a background in psychology and sociology that informs his analytical and conflict-sensitive approach to advancing youth empowerment, peace and security, governance, and sustainable development.
