Esther leads YIKE's efforts to track program effectiveness, measure impact, ensure transparency with stakeholders, and foster a culture of continuous learning. She holds a Masters degree in Research Methodology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. With over 15 years experience in designing, implementing, and managing both small and large-scale monitoring, Evaluation and learning (MEL) programs for development partners, donor-funded programs, and government partners and local NGO's.
Over the past several years based in Nairobi, Esther has held several leadership roles including as the Director MEL for Employment pathways for youth, a five year youth empowerment program and as MEL specialist for the USAID Kenya and East Africa office, leading development and implementation of MEL tools and systems, capacity strengthening of implementing partners as well as planning and managing internal and external evaluations in various sectors.
